316 Material Compatibility Overview
As we may know 316 material is the most common industrial material. From the following 316 material overview, you can get a quick selection for its compatibility.
Fully Compatible Media:
Acetic acid, alcohol, ethyl, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum sulfate, ammonia water, ammonium hydroxide, beer, wine, whiskey, benzene, blood, boric acid, calcium, carbon monoxide gas, carbonated drinks, chlorine gas (dry), coffee, milk, Silver nitride, sodium chloride, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, creosote, ethers, polyvinyl chloride, iron nitride, fuel oil, gasoline, glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, hydrogen sulfide, linseed oil, mercury, mercury, Nitric acid (<65%), oils, vegetable juices/minerals, potassium hydroxide, sewage, soaps, uric acid, aluminum acetate
Media that basically meet the compatibility conditions:
Calcium hydroxide (50% boiling), nitrates, chloroacetyl, chromium, chlorinated water, phosphoric acid (boiling), sea water
Media not recommended for measurement:
Aluminum chloride, chlorine (moist), hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, fluorine (gas), aniline hydrochloride, ferric chloride, iodine, bromine, silver chloride
