5 Pressure switch symbols Explanation

For the pressure switch, you may not always be able to distinguish the pressure switch symbols. In this article, we will fully explain the symbol for pressure switch.

electrical pressure switch symbols

The electrical contact of a pressure switch is typically NC (Normally Closed), NO (Normally Open), or changeover. Changeover means that the common terminal switches between two contacts, allowing the switch to be used in either NC or NO operation. Changeover contacts are also referred to as SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw). Each of these functions has different symbols.

If the pressure switch arm is in contact with the terminals, it means that the default position is closed. In other words, the switch is NC. If the arm is not connected to one of the terminals, the switch is NO. If the switch operates between two terminals, the switch is a changeover contact and can be used either NC or NO.

Low pressure switch symbols

When the pressure in the system is lower than the rated safety pressure, the disc in the sensor moves instantaneously. In this case, the switch connector disconnect by pushing the connecting guide rod. When the pressure rises to the rated recovery value, the disc resets instantaneously. In this case, the pressure switch resets automatically. NO is type of low pressure switch symbol.

High pressure switch symbol

When the pressure in the system is higher than the rated safety pressure, the disc in the sensor moves instantaneously. it push the switch connector through the connecting guide rod to turn on. when the pressure drops to the rated recovery value, the disc resets instantaneously and the switch resets automatically. NC is type of high pressure switch symbol.

Vacuum switch symbols

When the vacuum pressure in the system is higher or lower than the set pressure, the pressure sensor in the controller will act immediately. so that the pressure switch contacts in the controller will be disconnected or connected. While measuring negative pressure, the vacuum switch can withstand a certain intensity of positive pressure. And the vacuum pressure switch has a variety of options for different ranges of excellent negative pressure and both positive and negative pressure.

Differential pressure switch symbol

The differential pressure switch is composed of two bellows chambers, and the two chambers are sealed by two sealing diaphragms and one differential pressure diaphragm respectively. The high pressure and low pressure enter the high pressure chamber. The low pressure chamber of the differential pressure switch respectively. And the differential pressure felt deforms the pressure-sensitive diaphragm. Through the mechanical structure such as the railing spring, the uppermost micro switch activated, so that the electrical signal is output.
